<p>One of the biggest mistakes anyone can make is to assume that they will not snack. Everyone gets hungry during the day, and it can be difficult to concentrate when your stomach is growling. <p>Medical imaging has made great strides during the last few years due to advancements in technology. In the past, films had to be stored in dark rooms at a maintained temperature in order to avoid damage to the images and took up needed space in already crowded offices. However, current technology can store the images electronically and thousands of items can be stored on one computer.</p>

Some electronic medical records programs can also house images within the patient’s record itself to insure that any healthcare professional with access to the program can see previous images associated with the patient’s care.</p>
<p>PACS are especially useful for women’s health, since generally a primary care physician will refer a patient for a mammogram or <a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ultrasound">ultrasound</a> at another facility. Instead of having to wait for the imaging center to send a report in the mail, the primary care physician can simply view the image themselves digitally, eliminating wasted time, money and paper.</p>
<p>This technology has eliminated the need to keep hard copies of films and allows users to view the images even when not at their workstation. PACS also encourages smoother patient flow at imaging centers, since it saves a lot of time for staff members. As of 2011, the <a href="http://www.economist.com/node/17493417?story_id=17493417&amp;CFID=166801513&amp;CFTOKEN=43299431">federal government</a> has allotted $36 billion in incentives to offices and hospitals which use approved electronic medical records programs. This is a great way for offices to eliminate paperwork and keep important patient information in one location that is easy to access.</p>

<p>In a study done by researchers at the University of Michigan in 2009, it was determined that there are several things that have a large impact on increased bone density. It was determined that the magnitude, rate, and frequency of the strain during exercise all play a part in the way that bone density is increased. There was no conclusion how much of each was required. It was determined, however, that as little as 12 to 20 minutes of weight-bearing exercise three times a week was enough to increase bone density.</p>
<p>Exercises that include the proper strain and weight-bearing to increase bone density include weight training, plyometrics, jump training, backpacking, hiking, jump roping, running, body weight exercises such as pushups or crunches, and stair running. Of course, it is extremely important to do proper warm ups, stretches, and cool downs as well as wear proper footwear to avoid injuries.</p>
<p>One of the main exercises that seem to show a decrease in bone density is cycling. There is some evidence linking extreme cycling training with a decreased bone density. More research needs to be done to determine the exact reasons for this.</p>

There are some exercises that are excellent for your cardiovascular health and/or help you build muscle such as swimming or bicycling, but because they are not weight-bearing activities they will not do much to help with bone strengthening. 			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>It is no secret that many women report being more emotional during pregnancy. Irritability is often heightened as well and leaves husbands wondering what to do. If moms to be find themselves excessively weepy there are some things to keep in mind.</p>
<p>Many times feelings of being overwhelmed or upset come with good reason. Figuring out what is behind the tears can  make things better. If a woman feels overwhelmed with the preparations for a new baby, getting help from family and friends can help ease the frustration. If there are no relatives or close friends near by acquaintances at work or church are often enthusiastic about helping out in such a life changing event.</p>
<p>Give Dads a heads up: Not many men know all the ins and outs of pregnancy symptoms and they may not be prepared for roller coaster emotions especially if their girl wasn&#8217;t overly emotional to begin with. Simply letting a guy know ahead of time that unexplained tears or irritability are part of the territory helps him be in a proper frame of mind to be supportive.</p>
<p>Let Dads know what they can do to help: When men ask how they can help oftentimes women respond by saying &#8220;nothing&#8221; this is self defeating. If a woman needs support then the best thing she can do is ask. There is no guarantee that every need is met but it leaves the door open for acts of love and kindness. If it is a back rub, a bubble bath, a trip to the park or a drive to see friends, letting Dads know what they can do to help allows them to feel like a part of the process.</p>
<p>Dealing with all the changes can be difficult and bursting into tears doesn&#8217;t help either but with a little extra love and support any women can come through feeling strong and feeling loved.</p>

<p>Obey the doctor&#8217;s orders: It can be easy to disregard a doctor&#8217;s instructions or obey them half heartedly but the truth is that they are the experts and obeying reasonable instructions is the first step to recovery. The doctors may prescribe limited driving or standing but lots of women completely ignore these instructions. The best path to recovery is to listen to a trusted health professional and do as they suggest.</p>
<p>Get as much help as possible: Patients often look forward to being up and about so they do not have to rely heavily on friends and family. The truth is  that family members understand the challenges of having a baby and many often welcome the opportunity to show love and support. Make use of their offers of assistance. This will allow new moms the ability to rest and recuperate.</p>
<p>Wear a girdle: When talking about quick recoveries most women want to know when their figure will return. Wearing a girdle can help with contractions, get the uterous back into shape and provide much needed support to weak muscles.
